I’m planning on sleeping in a tent, for various reasons. I’ll be going through some remote areas, and while there are hotels and guesthouses, they aren’t open through the night. I have a very lightweight tent, and it should be easy to find a private spot. With a hotel, there’s also the risk of spending more time than necessary, and it might be mentally tough to get going in the morning. If I was riding with a group that was all planning to stay at a hotel, though, I would join them.
